The Gardens at Gray Gables

As a Summerfield NC Wedding Photographer, I know a lot of venues in North Carolina. One of my absolute favorites is The Gardens at Gray Gablesin my hometown of Summerfield, North Carolina. You may have seen our styled wedding shoot we did there. It was absolutely amazing. I don’t believe there’s an area of the grounds that isn’t photogenic! The staff are also super nice and helpful. I love working there and I believe it’s just the perfect venue for my clients here in the South.

So when Abby contacted me about capturing her bridal portraits, Gray Gables was the obvious venue choice! With its deep front porch filled with rocking chairs, whicker furniture, and hanging ferns blowing in the breezes, I could already imagine the pretty images we would get. Plus the owner is a professional landscaper, so each and every area of the grounds are thoughtfully appointed.

The morning of Abby’s shoot dawned a little muggy and hot, as is a Summer in the South. Abby was a total angel about it though, and was up for anything that would create pretty images.

I love her and Peter’s story by the way. They met at church and grew closer while working together at the church’s Summer camp. I attended this camp many years from middle to high school and it is not one of those bougie/posh camps. It’s rustic. It rains for a minute and everything is a mudslide. There’s no AC and the strangest collection of bugs congregate there. I remember those bugs being annoying and always trying to bite people. That was one of the worst things about this camp, but we just made sure to take some bug repellant spray with us, such as the one from https://quantumhealth.com/shop/category/deet-free-repellents. That would ease the bugs and make the camp much more enjoyable. Anyway, the Virginia mountain air created the perfect environment for a beautiful love to sprout, and I couldn’t be happier for this sweet couple.

Congrats on your beautiful relationship Peter and Abby. I wish you all the best on your new life together as one. I’m so excited for you to know a love stronger than you ever thought possible.
