Logan & Sydney

You may remember Logan & Sydney from this surprise engagement session in Knoxville Tennessee we shot last Fall! After much planning, this super sweet couple decided to go back to Sydney’s hometown in California for their nuptials. After arriving back in Knoxville, Sydney felt something was missing. It didn’t take long for her to figure out what that was; photos with their four-legged baby of course! They contacted me about capturing the special moments with their horse. Knowing how sweet Logan & Sydney are, I jumped at the chance to photograph them again.

I was also super stoked because the leaves were peak here in Knoxville that week and the thought of photographing them and their beautiful horse in a field surrounded by trees sounded awesome. And it SO WAS!

I met Logan and Sydney at the farm and quickly got started capturing the stunning foliage as the sun began dropping in the West. Their poor little baby had been in his stall for about two weeks prior to the shoot, with an injury. He was so hyper and restless, but we managed to capture some really sweet moments. There were so many awesome moments, it is hard to pick which one was my favorite. I knew I was going to love the image of Sydney by her horse in the woods as soon as I looked at the image on the back of my camera, but I think my favorite is the image of them silhouetted against the dramatic sunset. God’s handiwork was on display for us that afternoon for sure!
