Recently,  Alex and I got to visit friends who are planting a church in Helena, Montana. It is always so nice to get out of your usual routine, see new things, eat new places. It was so soothing to our souls. While we were there we got to see Glacier National Park , Yellowstone National Park, a ton of really cool things in Helena, buffalo, a grizzly bear, a Bald Eagle flying free…it was amazing! But one of the coolest things I got to do while in Helena was to photograph TJ & Charis’ engagement photos. They are a sweet couple who are high school sweethearts. Aww, can it get any sweeter than that?! And they are clearly in love. I never once had to give direction. Usually I’ll say things like “Hey, put your arms around each other, snuggle close!” Not once! They were SO throughly in love with each other, I just did what I love to do; capture couples candidly. They were awesome sports too. They literally posed in a ditch (photos #9-12) on the side of the road! Then they hopped in their car and followed us about 15 minutes away to Mount Helena City Park to hike up into this beautiful field with mountains all around. Such a stunning location it was to showcase this sweet couple’s love. Oh, and check out the sweet way TJ looks at Charis–aww! Melts my heart! There’s something about a guy having that look in his eyes when he looks at his future wife–SO sweet.
