Every now and then, you need to do something that feeds your soul.
Something just for yourself. Whether its personally or professionally, you just have to.
It resets your brain and allows you to think outside the box. It enhances all your other work. Because you were able to artistically create without the pressure of a wedding day timeline, or a client waiting for your next direction. To be in the moment and just do what hits you creatively. That is what we did when we packed up the car headed to Gloucester, Massachusetts.

Not knowing any vendors in the area, we brought everything with us. I’m fortunate to have two very beautiful sisters who agreed to model for me. We loaded down the car with everything we’d need, and hit the road from North Carolina. Along the way, we saw amazing sights we hadn’t seen before. So many big cities! New York City from a distance was amazing. Definitely made me want to go back! We had originally planned to go to Maine, but when we arrived at the Atlantis Oceanfront Inn in Gloucester, we were in awe. We knew nothing could be more beautiful than what was outside our windows.
After resting that night, the next morning got to work. Flowers were delivered from Farm Girl Flowers. WOW! I was amazed at how fresh they were. Overnighted from San Francisco the evening prior, they were still dewy. I was really impressed with how carefully they wrapped the flowers in oil paper, a sponge surrounding the stems to keep them hydrated for the flight, and how easily they arranged into the perfect bouquet. Amazingly hand crafted stationary from Steeplechase Collective in hand, we crafted flat lays to show off their work. Incorporating beach finds of starfish and oyster shells, we blended their beautiful style with our own. And I must say, their work blends easily with many styles, as you can see from the images below.
