Spring House Restaurant Wedding

This Spring House Restaurant wedding is giving me all the squeals today! First of all, I got my film scans back WAY early from Indie Film Lab (Great job guys!). If you ever want an amazing lab to send your photos to–they are the best! Anyway, I was super excited about Melissa and Travis’s wedding. First of all, they are the sweetest couple who have the most adorable dogs! You’ll see them on my Facebook and Instagram pages in the coming weeks! I was also excited to work with them because they believed in my vision for their day. They wanted me to shoot as much film as I wanted to, because they also love film photography, and appreciate the beautiful aesthetic of film.

Spring House Restaurant Kitchen & Bar

So not only are they an awesome couple, but their wedding was to be held at the amazing Spring House Restaurant Kitchen & Bar. That is reason enough to be excited! The staff there is AMAZING! And who doesn’t love photographing in gorgeous old mansions?! Also the food is incredible. I should know, I ate my way through their cookbook recipes as we shot the cookbook Soulful Harvest. If you haven’t picked up your copy, I highly recommend it. Because, well, I’ve eaten most of it and had to work out at the gym for months because it was so good!

Back to Melissa & Travis! When their big day came, I was disappointed that it was cloudy, but optimistic about what the snow forecast may have in store for us. Shooting film is a slow and tedious process, I learned. But I loved everything about it. I also loved shooting with Associate Photographer Devin. He always keeps the mood light and everyone laughing!
