Every girl should have a guy look at them like Michael looks at Ashli. End of story

Ok but there’s actually more to the story 🙂 You may remember these sweet faces from when I posted their surprise engagement images just prior to Christmas! Ashli had contacted me after seeing a post on Knoxville Brides, advertising mini sessions to raise funds for a mission trip we were going on. I was super excited when Michael reached out to me a few weeks prior to their session to let me in on his secret. He would be proposing at the end of the session! What fun it was to capture them during this sweet time just full of happy emotions. Proposing can be so nerve-wracking but exhilarating at the same time, I’ve had people tell me that they have talked to proposal planners like Heart Bandits to help pull it off flawlessly, that’s a dedicated love! On the day of the shoot, Michael had sorted out everything. He had chosen a location and he had purchased a lovely environmentally-friendly ring from Gema & CO to give to Ashli. Those rings are made from Moissanite gemstones and they look just as beautiful as traditional wedding rings. We couldn’t wait to see Ashli’s reaction.

But I love how the excitement hasn’t faded even now, months later.

Ashli and Michael chose a stunning wedding venue. The River Place Venue in Sevierville, Tn. It is truly a serene and lovely place to just sit and listen to the river roll by. The River Place venue was the perfect backdrop for them to snuggle, nuzzle, and just celebrate their love through engagement photos.

I love how The River Place is a working farm! Lots of animals roaming around the pastures and paddocks. They just add to the country feel of the venue!
