High Point Wedding Photographer
Tyler & Sarah
Villa de l’amour, High Point, NC
Being a wedding photographer, you literally have to be ready for anything.
And when I mean anything, I mean Category 4 hurricanes. Which is what Florence was the day that Sarah’s mom Gina called me.
“Katie, I think we’re going to have to move up the wedding. Can you come on Wednesday instead of Friday?”
I had been watching the weather all weekend, but really hadn’t given it much thought. Growing up in Summerfield, North Carolina, I’m accustomed to watching hurricanes race towards North Carolina, then veer off at the last minute. But this time was different. Hurricane Florence wasn’t predictable at all. As soon as a meteorologist would predict a path, it would veer in a different direction. I could feel the building anxiety and totally expected Gina’s call.
“Of course! Let me get a babysitter” I started packing my gear.
Villa de l’Amour
On my way to Sarah & Tyler’s wedding at Villa de l’amour in High Point NC, I kept thinking how beautiful the day was. How glad I was that they had moved the wedding to Wednesday instead of Friday when it was originally scheduled. Couple photos taken during landfall of a major hurricane don’t usually turn out well, I imagine 🙂 But the weather on Wednesday was just perfect.
Sarah truly looked radiant. Pure happiness evident in every moment. The energy in the bridal room was electric!
Tyler was equally excited, joking with his guys and having a great time. If you had walked into the venue, you would have never guessed that the entire day had been switched. Everything was coming together perfectly. A God kind of thing 🙂
The tears were flowing all around as Sarah had her first look with her father Ron, and then with her future husband Tyler. There weren’t many dry eyes when Sarah walked down the aisle either. It was just beautiful.
Sarah & Tyler, I wish you both all the happiness in the world. And a lifetime of love and joy.
