The Godshalls

Being a Farragut photographer, I have a lot of amazing locations to choose from for photo sessions. Farragut has beautiful mountain views, yet has an urban feel with downtown Knoxville just minutes away. We truly have it all here! I was so excited when I started planning with the Godshall family for their classic portrait session. We had a location all picked out and a plan in place, when her son broke his arm! Into surgery he went and out with a  cast for several weeks. Regina did not want to have her son’s cast showing in the pictures, and I totally understood. We put the session on hold, hoping the Fall foliage would last. Thankfully, we had a really long Fall this year, and the color was so vibrant well after the usual season.

I had planned Christmas mini sessions at Hunter Valley Farm, and Regina suggested they just add their session at the end. Photographing at Hunter Valley Farm is always so fun due to how beautiful the landscape is there, that I readily agreed with her plan. Knowing that the foliage was in its last week of color, I brought along my film camera, knowing it would capture the vibrancy much better than digital images would. We were not disappointed! The sun came out just before our session began (which made this Farragut photographer’s heart so full!) and the result was exactly what I hoped for. Film can handle bright sunlight better than digital can, so that was a huge plus. I couldn’t have been happier with the results.

Thank you sweet Godshall family for allowing me to capture your beautiful faces. I am so honored to know you and so thankful for the blessing you’ve been to our family . Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
