Kyle and Ashley’s story began several years ago. Ashley writes: “we met while attending Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. We were both in the School of Business majoring in Business Management. We met through a mutual friend. We went out on a group date and have been inseparable ever since. We are very different in many ways but it’s almost like our differences compliment each other like yin and yang.”
Kyle & Ashley’s day began seasonally warm with a salty coastal breeze. Tiny ripples in the water caused the sailboats to bob in the harbor. Sunshine glinted off the blue water as the clouds softly sailed by overhead. Ashley prepared for her wedding day in the hull of a beautiful 80′ yacht. Initially they had considered a barn wedding and looked at barn wedding venues Virginia for some ideas but ultimately they knew they had their hearts set on a wedding at sea and picked the perfect yacht for it. They had to search around quite a bit before deciding on the yacht for their wedding. One of their friends indicated that they check into something similar to Newport Beach yacht rentals so that they could have enough and more space on the yacht for all of their loved ones.
Ashley writes: “We knew we wanted something on the water as we are avid boaters and wanted to incorporate a nautical theme into our wedding. We know everything there is to know about boats and absolutely love it; we know the best trolling motor batteries and anchors and enjoy every moment at sea. Kyle’s parents own a waterfront development in Beaufort, NC, so it was basically a free venue! Since we funded the wedding ourselves, free sounded AWESOME”. Who could turn down a wedding on a yacht? I know I couldn’t. I could choose anywhere for my own wedding it would be on the Mediterranean Coast, courtesy of a Mediterranean luxury yacht charter. I’m sure that wedding would be pretty tough to beat!
Her bridesmaids, dressed beautifully in nautical navy gowns ,filled the boat with laughter and joy as everyone prepared for the exiting day. Ashley was stunning in her Marisa gown and Ben Amun jewels. The vintage lace of her gown created such a soft and romantic look. The bouquet was vibrant against the soft backdrop of the sea. Equally vibrant were her Louise et Cie Hermosa Pumps. Bombshell Brides did a fantastic job of enhancing all the girls’ natural beauty. Kyle and the groomsmen were dapper in their blue suits and matching pocket silks.
The delightful fruit tree and catering were so yummy and fresh. We have never tasted such wonderful seafood!
The entire day was so magical, it felt like we were living in the happy ending of a Nicholas Sparks novel.
As for their next steps, the happy couple are considering moving closer to Kyle’s parents in Beaufort.
