Hank & Linda
Bleak House Knoxville Tn
If the Frank Sinatra song “The Second Time Around” was written for a couple, it was for Hank & Linda. From the very first moment of conversation with Linda, I was struck by the happiness in her voice that love had found her “The Second Time Around”. The way she swoons about Hank is just the sweetest. “He’s a young 70!” she sweetly laughed on the phone.
Also, their story is even sweeter. Hank, a businessman from Sweden, spent his life traveling the world. He eventually planted in Knoxville, TN for family and business.
Linda, a flight attendant from Louisiana, had also been around the globe and had met many people and experienced the same cultures that Hank had experienced. Being well-traveled with many similar experiences and backgrounds, the perfect setting was created for the two to meet and fall in love.
One day, well after Hank’s wife had passed away, his hairdresser told him he needed to meet another client of hers, also single, named Linda. A nervous first date quickly led to an evening of wine and long conversations about their lives and experiences. The two immediately fell in love and have since been inseparable.
I’m still amazed that the two were born on separate continents, but love, the second time around, led them to each other in the city of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Equally enchanting was Linda’s sweet pup Bentley. We love that he was incorporated into the engagement session. I also love Hank’s young hipster style. Linda was right, he is definitely a young 70-year old.
Historic Bleak House Knoxville Tn
The venue, Historic Bleak House, was also significant with its rich history and mature grounds.
I could just hear Frank Sinatra singing in my mind as I snapped exposure after exposure of this sweet couple:
Love is lovelier the second time around
Just as wonderful with both feet on the ground
It’s that second time you hear your love song sung
Makes you think perhaps that love, like youth, is wasted on the young
Love’s more comfortable the second time you fall
Like a friendly home the second time you call
Who can say what brought us to this miracle we’ve found?
There are those who’ll bet love comes but once, and yet
I’m oh, so glad we met the second time around
