This Cades Cove Engagement session was perfect for earthy couple, Joey and Jess. Their love of adventure and the outdoors has really been a foundation for their sweet relationship.

The Story

I met Jess several years ago while working as a nurse in the Emergency Department. Jess was the sweetest, most compassionate nurse I encountered. Always with patients’ needs first, she was a wonderful nurse.

Fast-forward a couple of years. Jess emailed me stating she was engaged and wanted engagement photos . I was ecstatic! I knew whoever Jess had chosen to spend life with must be an incredible man.

Joey turned out to be just that. It was evident in the way he treated Jess throughout our engagement shoot that he cares so deeply for her. Their love radiated on their faces.

The Engagement Session

Choosing Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains was a perfect choice for them. Joey and Jess had spent many weekends camping, hiking and exploring nature in several states. They also love of the National Park system and love exploring and camping. Cades Cove was a perfect fit for this adventurous  couple.

Jessica styled their wardrobe to fit their personalities and lifestyle. Sweet and easy, their outfits emitted the vibe of their life.

Easy has not been a word that has characterized their relationship, however. Living hours apart, they worked hard to keep their relationship their priority. Lots of late-night phone calls and long-distance drives were the basis of their weeks and weekends. They were so happy that Joey would soon be transferring to a closer work location.

Joey and Jess’s Cades Cove engagement session was such a fun shoot to capture. It’s easy when a couple is as in love as Joey and Jess. Cades Cove was amazing as always and I hope to return there to shoot more in the future!
